Ghostwire Tokyo is only a few days from launching, and the trophy list has finally been revealed. This one has snuck under the radar a bit with the other massive PS5 releases, but it looks very promising. This first-person action-adventure-thrill combination takes place in (yep, you guessed it) a Tokyo-inspired open-world city. The gameplay looks very fluid and the world looks flashy and beautiful. I can’t wait for this one.
Now, let’s take a look at the trophy list and preview how difficult the platinum trophy for Ghostwire Tokyo will be. It’s a pretty long list, so grab a snack and be prepared.
Trophy List

The first chunk of trophies look pretty straghtforward. There are 6 chapters in the game and you get a bronze trophy for finishing each one. It’s hard to tell how long the story is from this alone, but according to the developers it will take around 15-20 hours to complete. Therefore each chapter should take around 4-5 hours to complete. The story doesn’t seem to bloated with filler, which is always a good thing.

Savior
Transfer 50% of the spirits in the city.
Salvation of All
Transfer 100% of the spirits in the city.
Hero of Shibuya
Complete the main story after transferring 100% of the spirits in the city.
This section of trophies caught my eye. Whilst there has been no indication of what the spirits in the city are, it’s interesting to note that a separate gold trophy is linked to completing the main story after transferring all of the spirits in the city. My first thought leads to perhaps an alternate ending of some kind. Maybe a “true” ending. The Gold trophy here is what raised my eyebrow, if it was simply another bronze trophy I likely wouldn’t look into it too much. Who knows, though.

Complete a side mission.
Wishmaker
Complete all side missions.

Cleanse a torii gate.

Wow, OK, this section is pretty full-on. It would appear as though there are plenty of collectibles. I count 18 collectible-related trophies. Whether these are natural progression collectibles that are linked to the story, or ones that you need to search for, is still unknown. If they are ones that you need to hunt for, we will likely require a guide to complete them all, thus making it much more time-consuming. There’s also the generic reach max level, and what appears to be a trophy related to the skill tree and upgrade your character.

Successfully protect at least 3 Containment Cubes in a single battle.
Don’t Worry About It

I’m not sure where to start with the final section. There are a lot of combat-related trophies in Ghostwire Tokyo. That means, combat is going to be quite varied and there are plenty of variations in how you approach fights. It looks like there is a tonne of ways to kill enemies, meaning we hopefully won’t get bored. That’s good news. How varying the combat is, and how efficient each style will be is still yet to be known.
Ghostwire Toky releases on 22nd March 2022. The trophy list looks quite comprehensive and very promising. I don’t think it looks to be too difficult, but a lot of that will come down to how collectibles are obtained. If each one needs to be independently searched out and picked up then it’s likely to extend the platinum time considerably. The base game is said to be 15 hours long, whilst completing the side missions and leveling up your character takes a total of up to 40 hours. Sounds like the perfect mix for me. I can’t wait.
Still unsure on whether Ghostwire Tokyo is for you? The following video does a nice job of talking you through what the experience will be like.
